Wan Cheuk Choir
Wan Cheuk Choir was set up by a group of people who attend CCC-B.
The choir was set up specifically for the Equinox event by CCC-B. At the beginning the group were coached and supported by Josephine Herbert who was one of CCC-B's Board Directors.
The Wan Cheuk Choir members have become so enthused by their participation in the Equinox project, they decided to continue singing and performing together after the Equinox performance which will be taking place in March 2012 at Symphony Hall.
Wan Cheuk Choir members would like to thank Martin Ellis through CCC-B for giving them the opportunity to realise that they all have the potential and talent to participate in such a unique project.
If you are interested in joining the Wan Cheuk Choir, or would like the Choir to perform at your event, please contact CCC-B on 0121 685 8510.
Our Wan Cheuk Choir joined over 350 choral and percussion performers in a unique and innovative inter-cultural choral celebration "Equinox" in March 2012. Taking place at Symphony Hall, Birmingham, this prestigious event reflected the cultural diversity of people living in Birmingham and the West Midlands. The event was part of the Cultural Olympiad.

Wan Sheung Dance Group
Wan Sheung Dance Group was set up by an experienced dancer who came to the UK from China in 2009.
Starting with a few members who wanted some exercise, they soon realised they had the skills to perform choreographed dances. Wan Sheung has grown in size and has performed to Birmingham City Council, Artsfest, Solihull Council, church groups, Citizens UK, primary and secondary schools, residential homes, etc as well as within CCC-B. They have participated in Chinese National Day, entertained at business events, and taken part in various cultural celebrations.
Wan Sheung now has over 20 regular members. The group recruits new members on an ongoing basis, and is particularly keen to attract men in order to provide new dance challenges and widen their repertoire.
Wan Sheung is hosted by CCC-B, and supported by volunteers. The group is fortunate to receive sponsorship from the Chinese community and businesses based in Chinatown which helps them to promote Chinese culture and community cohesion through dance.
If you are interested in joining Wan Sheung Dance Group, help out as volunteer or can offer sponsorship or other resources to help Wan Sheung develop, please call CCC-B on 0121 685 8510.
